I’m Jonas McCullar, owner of American Pool Techs. I was born and raised right here in the Memphis area — this isn’t a market I parachuted into. The neighborhoods we work in are the same ones my family grew up in, and that matters to how we run this business.

I live in the Memphis area with my wife Kelsey and our four kids. When I’m not on a job site or out at a consult, you’ll probably find me on the road with the family. Between the four of them, we stay plenty busy.

I started American Pool Techs in 2006 because I saw too many Mid-South homeowners getting handed off to subcontractors, getting hit with surprise change orders, and waiting weeks for a callback after the build was done. We do it differently.

Today we cover every phase of the work with our own team — designers, construction crews, weekly service technicians, repair specialists, and office staff who actually pick up the phone. No subcontracting. No outsourcing the parts that matter. Just one company that builds it, maintains it and stands behind it.

From the first design meeting to your tenth year of weekly service — American Pool Techs handles it with in-house W-2 employees. We don’t subcontract the work that defines our reputation.

We’re one of the largest in-house pool teams in the Mid-South. Whether it’s a new pool construction project, a full renovation, ongoing weekly service, or an emergency equipment repair, each department is staffed with full-time American Pool Techs employees — not contractors, not gig workers, not a roster of subs we pull from when the schedule fills up.

Where We Work

Building, renovating & maintaining pools across Shelby, Tipton, Fayette & DeSoto Counties

From two locations — Brighton off Old Highway 51 South and Bartlett on Kirby Whitten Road — we cover the entire greater Memphis area and into North Mississippi. Most of our work lands in Memphis, Germantown, Collierville, Arlington, Bartlett, Cordova, and Lakeland, with steady builds and service routes throughout Tipton County (Brighton, Munford, Atoka, Oakland) and across the Mississippi line into Olive Branch, Southaven, Horn Lake, and the rest of DeSoto County. We also handle projects out in Fayette County when the work fits our schedule.
