Salt Systems

Cells & control boards

Cell cleaning, cell replacement, control board diagnostics, flow switch failures, low-salt and high-amperage error codes.

Lights & Electrical

Bulbs, LEDs, junction boxes

Bulb replacement, LED retrofits, niche gasket leaks, GFCI breaker issues, junction box and low-voltage transformer failures, conduit repairs.

Heaters, Heat Pumps & Chillers

Gas valves to compressors

Gas valves, pressure switches, igniters, heat exchangers, flame sensors on gas heaters. Compressors, fans, refrigerant systems on heat pumps.

Filters

Sand, cartridge, DE grids

How Repair Calls Work

From call to fix

Pool equipment doesn’t break on a schedule. Here’s how we handle a repair call from the first ring to “equipment is running again.”

1

Initial Call

SAME DAY, USUALLY

You call (901) 755-3000. We ask a few questions — what’s not working, what error codes you’re seeing, how long it’s been like that — and we schedule a diagnostic visit. Most repair calls book within a few hours, sooner during the off-season.

2

Diagnostic Visit

DAY 1 · 30–90 MINUTES

Tech arrives with diagnostic tools and common parts on the truck. They test the failed component, isolate the actual cause (often not what people assumed), and write up a clear repair scope.

3

Written Repair Quote

SAME VISIT WHEN POSSIBLE

You get a line-item quote: parts, labor, and any related work we’d recommend bundling. No vague pricing. We do not do work you haven’t approved.

4

Parts & Scheduling

DAYS 1–7

Common parts are on the truck and we fix it the same day. Less common parts (specific control boards, manufacturer-specific impellers) ship in a few business days and we return with them.

5

Repair & Test

REPAIR DAY

We install the parts, test the system through a full cycle, verify everything’s running in spec, and walk you through what was fixed and what to watch for going forward.

6

Follow-Up

WITHIN 30 DAYS

If anything’s not right with the repair, you call us. Every repair carries our workmanship warranty plus the manufacturer warranty on parts.

Common Questions

What service diagnostic & repair customers ask us

Real questions from real diagnostic calls.

How much does a diagnostic visit cost?
There’s a flat diagnostic fee for the visit, which covers the trip out and the diagnostic time. If you approve the repair, that fee credits toward the repair cost. Want to know more about how we operate? Read about our team.
My pump is making a loud screeching noise — what is that?
Typically a loud screaming or whining noise signals that the bearings are going out. Bearings can sometimes be replaced on their own, but on older single-speed pumps it’s often more cost-effective to upgrade to a variable-speed pump. We’ll diagnose the specific cause and walk you through the options.
Is it worth fixing an old single-speed pump?
If the pump just needs a motor and seals replaced, that’s usually a more cost-effective repair. If the pump has multiple issues, we’d recommend upgrading to some form of variable-speed energy-efficient pump — most customers see a noticeable drop in their electric bill after the upgrade.
Why isn’t my heater heating?
A heater not heating could be a number of things, ranging from lack of flow caused by dirty filters, to a high-limit heat sensor going out, to ignition or gas valve issues. Heaters are technical with quite a few moving parts and will take proper diagnostics in a certain order to properly identify the failure point.
My salt system shows a low-salt reading, but the salt level is fine. What’s wrong?
This is usually caused by a dirty cell, a failed flow switch, a cell that’s at the end of its life span, or a circuit board failure. These salt system parts typically last an average of 2 to 3 years before needing to be replaced. If any of these parts aren’t working at peak performance, false readings are common.
Can you fix a pool light without draining the pool?
Yes — typically lights installed properly with enough cord to get the light above the water level can be serviced without draining the pool down.
Do you carry parts on the truck?
Yes — we stock commonly used replacement parts on our trucks so we can fix many issues on the spot during the initial diagnostic visit.
